The play “Romeo and Juliet” was written by William Shakespeare. It is one of his most famous and tragic works, believed to have been written in the early stages of his career, around 1595 or 1596. The play tells the story of two young lovers, Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet, whose families are embroiled in a bitter feud, ultimately leading to a tragic end.
