As of recent discoveries, Saturn holds the record for having the most moons in our solar system. It has over 140 confirmed moons, with more potentially still to be discovered. Saturn’s largest moon, Titan, is even larger than the planet Mercury and is of great interest to scientists due to its thick atmosphere and potential for harboring life in some form.
Saturn surpassed Jupiter, which previously held the record, after new moons were discovered orbiting Saturn in recent years. Jupiter still has a significant number of moons, over 90, and remains one of the most fascinating planets in our solar system.
