The Sonoran Desert is considered the most biologically diverse desert in the world. Located in North America, it spans parts of the southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico. This desert is home to a wide variety of plant and animal species, including the iconic saguaro cactus and numerous species of reptiles, mammals, and birds. The Sonoran Desert’s diversity is due to its unique climate, varied landscapes, and seasonal rains.
