भारत की संसद (Parliament of India) के दो सदन हैं:
लोकसभा (Lok Sabha)
इसे निम्न सदन (Lower House) या जनता का सदन (House of the People) भी कहा जाता है।
इसके सदस्य सीधे भारत के लोगों द्वारा चुने जाते हैं।
इसका सामान्य कार्यकाल पाँच (5) वर्षों का होता है।
राज्यसभा (Rajya Sabha)
इसे उच्च सदन (Upper House) या राज्यों की परिषद (Council of States) भी कहा जाता है।
इसके सदस्य अप्रत्यक्ष रूप से राज्यों की विधानसभाओं के निर्वाचित सदस्यों द्वारा चुने जाते हैं।
यह एक स्थायी सदन है और यह कभी भंग नहीं होती है। इसके सदस्यों का कार्यकाल छह (6) वर्ष का होता है।
