बिपिन रावत
भारत के प्रथम CDS (Chief of Defence Staff) थे जनरल बिपिन रावत।
1. जनरल बिपिन रावत को 31 दिसंबर 2019 को भारत का पहला CDS नियुक्त किया गया।
2. CDS का पद भारत में पहली बार 2019 में बनाया गया था।
3. CDS तीनों सेनाओं – थल सेना, वायु सेना और नौसेना – के बीच तालमेल बनाए रखने का कार्य करता है।
4. इससे पहले जनरल रावत थल सेना प्रमुख (Chief of Army Staff) रह चुके थे।
5. उनका सैन्य अनुभव बहुत समृद्ध और अनुशासित था।
6. CDS बनने के बाद उन्होंने कई रक्षा सुधारों और योजनाओं पर कार्य शुरू किया।
7. वे रक्षा मंत्रालय के प्रमुख सैन्य सलाहकार भी बने।
8. अफसोस की बात है कि 8 दिसंबर 2021 को एक हेलीकॉप्टर दुर्घटना में उनकी मृत्यु हो गई।
9. उनकी पत्नी और अन्य सैन्य अधिकारी भी उस हादसे में मारे गए।
10. जनरल बिपिन रावत को भारत के इतिहास में पहले और महत्वपूर्ण CDS के
रूप में याद किया जाता है।
