National Science Day is celebrated on February 28th every year in India. It marks the discovery of the Raman Effect by Indian physicist C. V. Raman on February 28, 1928, for which he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930. The day is celebrated to honor the contributions of scientists and promote scientific awareness and education in India.
