Atticus Finch is a character in To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. He is a lawyer and the father of Scout and Jem Finch, and he’s known for his strong sense of morality and justice, particularly in defending a black man, Tom Robinson, who is falsely accused of raping a white woman in the racially segregated American South.
