WTO stands for the World Trade Organization.
It is an international organization that deals with the global rules of trade between nations.
The WTO aims to facilitate smooth international trade by providing a framework for negotiating trade agreements and resolving disputes.
It was established on January 1, 1995, and succeeded the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT).
The WTO’s main goals include promoting free trade, reducing trade barriers (like tariffs and quotas), and ensuring that trade flows as smoothly, predictably, and freely as possible across na
tions.
